Im not saying calzaghe would win!! im simply defending him from crap posts lol. And im not sure what rounds you saw him stole because calzaghe dominated him. round 1 and maybe 2 where jones's. After that, all calzaghe outclassing rjj. Im also not sure where you get this 'times him' nonsense. Calzaghe was reading hes shots all fight..even standing with hes hands down right in front of him:patsch:patsch.

It was years back and Roy was about to finish Montell via knockout, one punch too much on the floor and got DQ'd. There was barely a moment in the 1st Tarver fight when he felt comfortable/ahead/close to finish the show. Griffin KO1 followed the DQ. Tarver KO2 followed the lucky MD.

Definitely not a mystery to the sighted but it is almost as if the JC proponents have never bothered to watch all of his fights. Joe was a good fighter who struggled with so many average guys and never fought anyone talented until they were collecting their pension. One clear hint of his true talent (for those who apparently aren't compelled to actually watch his fights to determine if their extreme worship is warranted) is the paucity of KOs or legit TKOs of good fighters. That stat really tells the tale (just as it does for Ottke).

i love how offended people were by calzaghe's antics but didn't have one bad thing to say about roy taunting, mocking and showboating against the string of cab drivers and off duty policemen he faced during his LHW reign.

    get a ****ing grip.

Cals hands have always been ****, hes even had wrist problems since childhood you half wit, since when does age translate to the ability to confuse someone, and you bring up flash kd's to reinforce your argument

ive always had jones beating jc, but you jc haters will always blow the result out of proportion

finally if hes a teenager then your a child, throwing insults from behind your laptop

Jones is a step above Calzaghe, A+ to A, but people are really badly misreading their fight.

Calzaghe took that fight because he knew Jones was shot and thought it would be an easy win and a big payday. He clearly underestimated Jones and got put on his arse as a result. Prime Calzaghe against prime Jones, Calzaghe would not have gone into the fight expecting and easy night's work and been punished accordingly. He would have known he was in the fight of his life and fought accordingly. I would expect a prime Jones to beat Calzaghe by decision in a close fight that would have improved both their legacies. Jones would not have knocked Calzaghe out, who has a great beard and despite occasionally kissing canvas has never been badly hurt or even close to being stopped. Jones would be far more vulnerable to prime Calzaghe's power, than the other way around.
