At LHW or below, which fighters in their prime would actually have a 50/50 chance or better at beating a prime Roy Jones Jr?

    Nobody.

Lots of people here will say SRR he was a great fighter, top 5 ATG in my list but RJJ is just too much of a physical specimen for him.

The answers will depend on the degree of pink tint in people's glasses. Jones may well beat every MW-LHW in history but Charles has the best chance against him

I think he'd be very, very hard to beat. I'd like those with a puncher's chance the best; i e Foster, Spinks et al. Outboxing him was just so difficult.

and pp and bokaj stated...charles, foster and possibly spinks. conn and tunney would gets decent odds but wouldnt be favoured

at 168-no one that competed in that division but greb, langford could be favourites

at 160-hagler, srr, greb, langford, monzon

Michael Spinks has more than a puncher's chance.

IMO, the big/sharp punchers with good boxing skill and/or good reach: Langford, Fitzsimmons, Spinks, Foster, Charles, Johnson, Tunney, Moore, Williams.

Holman Williams had little power and had fragile hands, more of slick defensive technician from what I can gather

my question is this: are we stating who would be favoured NOW or if a time machine dropped jones in their eras with his reputation intact? with hindsight, i would favour some fighters and wouldn't favour others. conteh for instance i simply would not favour at this point but his reputation was very strong in his prime.
