Prime Roy Jones Jr would knock Carl "no class" Froch out of the ring with a superman punch.

The same Roy who fought Eubanks, Collins, Benn, Rocchigiani, and Michalczewski?

No Roy in his prime would not have knocked Froch out because he never would've got in the ring with Froch. I was a RJJ fan, and it was painful dealing with his risk aversion over his career, which makes it a sad irony to see him now traveling and fighting who ever will have him.

I consider Roy a greater talent than Mayweather, but he was probably more risk adverse than Floyd as well. His best wins were a weight drained James Toney, a raw Bernard Hopkins, an old Virgil Hill, and an inept John Ruiz.

Your boy "IRO" chinned Froch has been dropped by guys who are nowhere as fast and powerful as prime RJJ.

If Jermain Taylor had been a finisher as opposed to a gasser we would not be having this convo yet someone wants to put him in with a prime RJJ ?

And for anyone who thinks he wouldn't get in the ring with a Froch ,he's a much slower watered down version of Hopkins and he beat Hopkins with 1 hand ..What does he do to Froch ? Look at how Dirrell outboxed him at times and he's nowhere near as fast as Jones and with less power !

He coasted against guys who were just looking to survive. Froch would have gone at him and fought, and it probably wouldn't have lasted long. In my honest opinion, the fight would have had a TKO/KO written all over it.

    We've heard this all before.

    1. It's boring.

    2. It's complete bollocks!

Eubank DIDN'T want to fight Roy at 168.

Did Roy know about Toney's weight issues, when he relinquished his MW belt, to move up and fight him?

Did Toney ask for a rematch directly after the fight? No. I wonder why?

Hopkins was 28 years old, and didn't lose for another 12 years, and he said in 2010, that Roy was the only person who ever beat him without any controversy. He considered it his only real, official loss. Also, Roy was only 24 with an injured hand.

An old Virgil Hill? Really? Was he old 15 months earlier when he beat Maske? What about two years later when he beat Tiozzo in a round? He had 57 fights, ended his career at CW, yet Roy was the only person to knock him out, and he did it in just four rounds.

The inept Ruiz? Really? A top 5 HW who'd beaten and dropped Evander was inept?

I guess Roy fighting Collins at 27, would have been a bigger risk than fighting Ruiz at 34, after 50 fights??

Risk aversion? Show me a list of all the other 34 year of former 160/168 guys that beat a top 5 HW.

I suppose there was no risk in going back down for Tarver?

Your post is nothing but a joke.

Carl Foch would have been destroyed by Roy, and Roy probably wouldn't have got an ounce of credit. Froch in the 90's, wouldn't have been seen as anything special.

Let's look at some typical views of Roy's opponents, from know nothing haters.

Roy iced Montell Griffin in a round, with a lead uppercut, but doesn't get credit because Griffin caused him trouble in the first fight.

Reggie Johnson gave Tarver a good fight in 2002, but was apparently shot to **** 3 years earlier when Roy toyed with him.

Del Valle was a good fighter, who suddenly became a nobody when Roy beat him.

Gonzalez was deemed a Mexican road sweeper, but went on to beat DM.

Malinga gave Eubank and Benn extremely tough fights, then beat Reid and a won a rematch with Benn, yet isn't classed as a good win for Roy, who beat him and stopped him with ease.

It's sad to see people paying £15 to see Carl Froch, while not knowing anything about Roy, or not appreciating him.

The casual Brit fans would be creaming their pants, if Roy was 25 years old today.

To be honest, if Jones goes in for the kill, I don'r see Froch lasting 4 rounds. Jones is on a completely different level. I like Froch though...good honest battler with the heart of a lion.
