Always well up there on my wish list, this one.
I feel duran would have been amazing at 140 and Pryor would be the perfect showcase for him.
Duran late or on points, with both guys getting the plaudits in a FOTY.

 

Agreed. As I said, not totally open. He was hit plenty, but less than most any boxer sent in there with his gameplan.

 

It's gonna be Duran all day every day, he's just a better all round complete boxer, the defence of Duran is the key here & his ability to go from defence into assault mode, he's just to cute for Pryor. But I don't want to be seen as dumping on Aaron, he's one of my all time favorite boxers, just see it as it is, Duran had all the tools, and a 15 round beast into the bargain.

What an excellent analysis, I marvel at Duran's ability to transition from offense to defense and vice versa. He was an artist in the ring.

 

very tough one here.....both had power, tenacity, some boxing skills. only duran has been tested by opponents in the ring. the hearns that crushed durnan probably does likewise to pryor. the srl that made duran weep no mas probably makes pryor cry as well......

 

Aaron Pryor was a great fighter, but Roberto Duran still was much better.

Pryor has a much better chance than many people here want to admit, he not just could win a fight OF the serie but could hurt duran seriously. I am not picking here, all i will say is thay duran is overrated like hell on this Forum

Of course he could hurt Duran seriously, Aaron Pryor is an excellent fighter. It's just that more likely that he'll be hurt first, because his defense is inferior and his superb offense is not as effective against Duran's style in particular.

And Duran is the shizzles. Just saying.
