just my opinion.. I am not going to change it. Duran was great in the pocket where he was a master. The times he struggled was when guys fought him outside and he couldn't work his inside magic on the elites.

Julio cesar chavez is one of the most overrated guys ever. His first 30-0 was a complete joke against taxi drivers with more losses than victories in their records. The best guys that he fought( oscar and whitaker )did beat him.
    Duran rapes him

You guys really think because I think Duran is overrated and I have brought up facts why. Not enough all time greats on his record to be what some say is top 5 atg, that is trolling? A troll would not have the facts I have. This is what I believe. Ray beat him easily. Benitez did. Hearns did. And you will say, well they were bigger. He was at 154 before they were as early as 1978 and they were the only real ATG fighters he fought as well as Hagler. So why is this not pertinent to the discussion?

Tbh Pryor is made for Duran. Duran's craft and slickness up close meant he thrived when faced with aggressive boxers. I can see Duran taking what Pryor had with a grin of contemp. Systimatically breaking him down and enjoying it thoroughly.

You do have an agenda against Duran. So much so you label his lightweight opponents like Buchanan as not being elite. They don't come much more elite than Ken Buchanan ffs lol.

Because you continually miss the fact that, Duran fought those men IN THEIR PRIME, while he was well past his prime. You keep either intentionally missing this, or worse, didn't even know this. Not only were they prime, he was already a decade and beyond into his career; and having led, let's say, a fast and fluctuating lifestyle., while his foes were still young hungry ATG's in their best division for them at the time. That word, ATG, also seems to alude you in these discussion. You will ALWAYS have spotty performance if you're past your prime and best weight, when facing and ATG at their peak. Newsflash, that make a difference. When he faced these guys, Duran was already the stuff of legends, he had already done things very few in history could pull off. Like you say, those are the facts....

    Duran beats them all.

If a gun was put to my head I would say that Whitaker had the best chance but even that would be slim imo.

Don't get the Pryor hype I think Duran brutalizes him.
