I think Carl might be entering his prime because the fights he is having should improve him as a fighter.

Froch left something in the Pascal fight, something in the Taylor fight and definitely something in the Kessler fight. Froch's poor defense has shortened his shelf life. He's wearing down much like we saw with Marvin Hagler '87. Hearns and Mugabi took something out of Hagler, and Pascal, Taylor and Kessler have done the same to Froch. You cannot ship flush hard punches at world level and expect to have a long career.
Yes, prime Reid was landing his right hand on Calzaghe all night. Granted, it was Calzaghe's worst performance but it is likely Reid would land that same right hand on Froch all night.
Yeah you would have thought he'd have learnt to bring that left hand up..Froch has an ego the size of Mt Everest. In terms of pure boxing intelligience he's as dumb as a rock. Taylors shelf life is shortened because thats what happens when you fight world class opponents. Froch doesnt stand a chance vs any world class Super Middle. Even hsi win over Taylor was flattering.
