My God, we're talking about Rocky Marciano here! He smashed all of Rex Layne's teeth out and beat Joe frickin Louis up so badly that he never fought again. Tyson would have gone weak at the knees when he realised that this unbeaten ATG was here to knock his head off, that he punched as hard as any guy he'd ever faced, that he was as relentless as a locomotive, that he would throw as many punches in the 15th as he would in the first and that, OMG, he, Tyson wasn't even the biggest guy nor the best, that Marciano ground down and flushed down the crapper. 49-0, baby
No, I believe you're the one who suffers from dyslexia. I specifically said Ali never got up off the floor to win a fight he was losing and neither did Lewis. Pay attention little child.
Everyone says Tyson never got up off the floor to win a fight he was losing but they seem to ignore that neither did Lewis amongst others.
Tyson never got up to win fullstop, why bring Lewis into the discussion? Lewis avenged both of his losses, the same can't be said of Tyson.
I think the Marciano fans can't accept Rocky was too small. What was his best weight ? 186 or 187 pounds and with maybe a 5'11" (I doubt it he looked shorter) height and a very short reach. Who was the smallest guy who could beat Tyson ? An ATG 215 pounds incredible ripped 6'2" Holyfield. Evander's upper body looked like a 240 pounds muscular fighter's (Just he had chicken legs). Holyfield was a monster compared to Rocky.
Ali was losing the fight. I don't believe official cards were released but per the press: Cooper clearly won round 1 and scored a knockdown in 4. He was ahead by a point heading into the 5th round. So can you admit to being wrong? ". Cooper clearly won the first round, and the crowd was going crazy"
But factually Holyfield was only 215 and is self proclaimed sub 200 pounds when not doing heavy weight training for fights. In possibly his best career performance in Qawi 2 he was 187 pounds. He was only 205 when he went toe to toe with Bowe. And yeah, he's claimed to be as tall as 6'3" but was more like 6'1" and those wing span measurements of 78 inches aren't exactly down to a science.
Well only if YDKSAB...which im starting to wonder you even referanced Joe louis as if he was in his prime and Marciano drove him into retirement in the twilight of his career! 'Tyson would have gone weak at the knees when he realised that this unbeaten ATG was here to knock his head off,"
Then you apparently dont know how to score a fight. You are playing with words. -Banks dropped Ali in the FIRST round. That would mean he had a 10-8 round against Ali. You with me so far? -Ali got up and in the second round took care of business and beat the living tar out of Banks and dropped him. They stopped it in the 4th (as Ali predicted). This was AFTER Ali was dropped--meaning he...got off the floor to win a fight he was losing. Now are you done embarrassing yourself? Can you admit defeat or shall I educate you further?
Marciano beats any version of Tyson (his 1 year prime included) Beterbiev KO's any version of Marciano
Look another thread with a bunch of white Marciano fans picking a 180 pound fighter over a modern heavyweight. The only way Marciano could win if Tyson was 100 and Marciano was in his prime. But even then I would pick Tyson in 2 rounds or less. Wh can't the moderators ban anybody keeps making these stupid threads? Marciano isn't a heavyweight and never fought a heavyweight but he did fight Ted Lowry and was almost knocked out by a 177 pound fighter. http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Rocky_Marciano_vs._Ted_Lowry_(1st_meeting) Tyson in 2000 would still knock Marciano with in 1:00 and that is if Tyson felt sorry for Marciano.
I suspect a 187 pound Holyfield could have done even better during his first title reign than 205 pound Holyfield. Unfortunately he had to gain the muscle because of the 200 pound limit. Now against the younger and faster Tyson, Holyfield's bulk helped him out. I suspect Marciano would probably come in heavier against a guy like Tyson too.
