I pick Rocky, but no way is this an absurb match-up, and I wouldn't be a bit suprised if at some point Rocky has to haul his butt off the canvas.

You don't even have an argument to make apart from size. Cough one up or get out, you belligerent little choad.

  3. Bob lost by ko in repeated occasions by worse and weaker punchers than rocky. obviously if Hall or jefries could ko him, marciano might hands down.bob did not have the chin or the size to beat marciano. i don´t support the ignorance.
you are ridiculous. go out now!!

Hall was a huge puncher, do you know anything about his career? He used to make bets that he could KO his opponent inside a certain number of rounds and if he didn't make it, they would get a lion's share of the purse. And you're talking about a 6 fight series!

As far as Jeffries, you're talking about a big puncher who outweighed a 36 year old Fitzsimmons by 40 pounds. Rocky was put on deck by much smaller men himself, so I'm not really sure why you're using these losses/fights as evidence of Fitzsimmons being chinny.

Fitzsimmons had equal or better skill than Rocky, a superior and more accurate punch, and whupped men of much greater size with regularity. If you honestly think it's out of the question that Rob could win you just don't really know what you're talking about, again.

I'm not the ridiculous one here. You are.

Fitz was a great trap-setter. His power was unworldly and good enough to KO any man who ever lived. Anyone who denies this is merely proclaiming their ignorance. The question is could he set and spring his trap against Marciano who himself was much more clever than given credit for. And if he missed, could he take what Rock throws in return.

I have a hard time picking against Rock versus just about anyone below 200. I think he would break Fitz sooner than Fitz could catch lightning in a bottle.

  6. marvin hagler or tommas hearns were great punchers too.
Hall was a middle weight. Rocky marciano is one of the hardest hw punchers of all time with great chin , great difference .
. Precisely it is the point, bob was not a hw. And if he was 36 is not relevant, jefries would ko a young bob as well.
sugar ray robinson, marvin hagler were middle weight and they had better skill than rocky too.. Maybe you think that they would beat rocky.
Walcott, charles and almost every rival of marciano had better skill than him... But rocky destroyed them...
When you said he had "a superior" punch i hope you are not trying to say that bob did hit as hard as rocky .

not just your points are absurd and ridiculous, you can´t even defend your points correctly

With regard to the size issue, it is not as great as people think.

Fighters in Fitzsimmons era were free to weigh themselves, and their claims were seldom questioned. A lot of fighters understated their weight to make thier oponents complacent.

Fitzsimmons seems to have been over 170lbs fort most of his heavyweight fights so there might only be 10lbs between them.

There are middleweights that hit harder than some heavyweights. Fitzsimmons falls into this category. Age doesn't play a part in damage resistance? Are you serious?

Indeed those men did have better skill. They were also old men. I do not think Rocky would have survived against a Joe Walcott or Charles of the 40's, they were way way past prime. I am not saying that bob hit as hard as rocky. I'm saying bob hit harder. He knocked out men of modern heavyweight size to boot. Rocky is less proven against bigger opponents. In 1893, he knocked out seven men in a single night, all of whom were over 200 pounds. His total rounds boxed that night were 19. That means he finished these men on average in less than four rounds.

Rocky is not on the same level as far as hitting.

Good matchup. I guess Bob hurts Rocky and knocks him down but Rocky has too good of a chin and his workrate and power would overwhelm Fitz in the end. Good fight but Rocky stops him late. Like the 13th round.

My extensive film of Fitzsimmons has me believing he edges Rocky out in a down the wire squeaker.

In all likelihood Marciano crushes Bobby.

That your attempt at humor twat ? You're incapable of making a single intelligent point ... are you trying to say there is no footage to support a pro-Fitz argument ? If so then putz, your answer should be an incomplete. If you are saying Marciano crushes him, what are you basing your opinion on ?

Not intelligent or funny combined with a cowardly obnoxious streak is a pathetic way to go through life but I guess your used to it by now .. :D

Try as I might I have a hard time seeing Fitz beating Rocky. I think Rocky's crouch makes it difficult for Fitz to land with enough regularity to stop Rock from advancing and sooner or later Marciano lowers the boom. A Suzie Q over Fitz's low left most likely.

from what i`ve read, fitz was a laser accurate and piercing punching. how does rockys face and notably his nose handle it? while fitz was known for his body attack, i don't see him going to that particular well for this fight...

Marciano's nose was split open from an elbow ,a freak accident that could happen to any fighter.
