Yeah, certainly no 4-5 round domination by Marciano. If they fought 3 times, 12 rounds, I'd say it goes to a decision twice. Qawi withstood the non-stop pressure and punching of a prime Holyfield for 15, he's certainly not wilting in a few rounds or any nonsense that might be spewed here.
Marciano brings more pressure and more power to the table than green Holyfield. See what a more experienced Holy did to him later on. That´s similar to what Marciano would do.
This is very interesting. The Qawi that was the light heavyweight champ probebly entered the ring at 185 or more by fight time. I think he would give Rocky all he could handle. Although he would probebly lose a decision I would not count out him winning a decision either. I hold Qawi in very high regards when in his prime.
That's close. I think Qawi would get something in between his split decision loss and KO4 loss to Holyfield. I'd say Marciano KO 9 or 10.
Marciano would eat Qawi up and spit him out. Not a good matchup at all for Qawi. I would like to see how Qawi could do with Rex Layne before pitting him up against Marciano.
Like Toney, these are the match ups that should be made for Marciano ... also like Toney Qwai would be tough ... he was extremely strong, well conditioned , took a great shot, was very tricky on defense and unlike James he was a good hitter at cruiser ... that being said I think Rocky was stronger, better conditioned, took a better shot and definately threw one ... Rocky beats him up in the second half of the fight ..
