Light heavyweight Archie Moore also had him down early in their fight.

Rocky takes it. would be a great fight while it lasts. brutal over all. love both fighters but think the Rock smashes paper and scissors.

Yeah. He was dropped to heavily. Was close to being stopped.

He gets dropped a time or two vs Frazier likely

What proof is there that chins get better with age? Tell that to Roy Jones Jr...

Frazier didn't have the best chin, I think that is apparent. Like I said, it's not a slam dunk but I lean towards Marciano in a slugfest, FOTY type fight.

Its a completely different story with Roy. He moved up to heavyweight and after defeating Ruiz, decided to go back to 175lbs. Going up to the 190s and cutting all that weight back to 175 again, must've affected his punch resistance. On top of that, he was already 35 years old.
Going back to my theory.. I think we all know that from the early 20s to 30 years old the body grows and gets significantly stronger. F.e. the neck muscles are important when it comes to taking a punch. The stronger those are, the better you can take one. Ofcourse some are born with a granite chin but there are other factors coming into play.

The only fighter that legitimately stopped Fraizer is Foreman. Futch stopped the third fight in the 15th round. My comment is in relation to power stoppages, knockdowns and nearly stopped don't mean you have a bad chin. Especially, if it's not happening on a consistent basis. Any fighter can get knocked down or buzzed. Four of Fraizer's five loses came from Foreman and Ali. He was a done fighter in his last lost. Also, I beg to differ on Ali's power, he had very good power. Styles make fights and I don't think that the Rock would be able to adjust to Fraizer's constant movement, presssure and that double left hook. They didn't fight like that in the Rock's era. I think that he would have gotten overwhelmed and knocked out.

Frazier didn't really fight any punchers. The one he faced KTFO twice, once early. And I disagree on Ali's power. He wasn't a feather-fist but he also wasn't a puncher. And he hurt Frazier in every one of their fights. I'd imagine if Frazier faced more punchers, he would have more losses on his ledger but he only had 36 fights in his career.

This is all just conjecture anyways, who knows who would have won? I do think it would be an absolute war, regardless of who won.

Ali had 37 knockouts in 61 fights, he had very respectable power. He stopped Foreman and that speaks for itself. Nobody else did that. You also know that Ali had an iron chin but Fraizer set him on butt with that same left hook that the Rock would be taking all night. He would have folded. Who said Marciano had an iron chin, he was fighting old men and busters. Archie Moore was 41, Joe Louis was 37, Walcot was 39 and Charles was 39. The Rock was 33 years old or younger. Fraizer would have tore his ass up and knocked him out. Too much motion.

Look how slow Archie Moore was, he was 41 years old and still dropped him. Fraizer would have smoked his ass like a Tennessee ham.
