Lets rehash this classic again. Who would be the victor? Would it require a trilogy to settle?

Neither of them have complete coordination of both hands.
Frazier has his left and Marciano was particularly uncoordinated with either hand.

Sadly enough this thread will get more attention than my actual serious, original Marciano thread. Long live the reign of "heavyweight h2h forum"

Frazier had poor coordination between left and right fists. Classic example of a fighter “with no right hand”. (via boxing terminology). In contrast Marciano had complete coordination between both fists allowing him to freely throw combinations to both head and body. Unlike Frazier, Marciano could knock you out with either fist.

Frazier very late in his career was still working on developing a right hand. Unfortunately his efforts with Futch were predominantly unsuccessful.

he likes to have multiple threads on the front page and he can’t do that if he bumps someone else’s threads

What may be the greatest fight in history lol Rocky by 14 round KO. Main reasons being stamina (something Frazier wasn’t short of either but I think in this non stop brawl it becomes a factor), marcianos power in both hands, and Marciano’s use of uppercuts will lead to a victory. One bloody mess

I'll go with the quicker, more accurate and just as powerful fighter. Frazier would have a good chance to bust Rocky up with the cleaner punches. Marciano cut easier than Joe as well. Not to mention he had about 20lbs on Rock.
    Frazier TKO 9th

Marcianos right hand trumps Fraziers hook for the KO win. Marciano was just the more complete fighter. Two fists instead of one is just the start.

My money is on Frazier, his left hook was faster and more powerful than anything Marciano had, but I think the real deciding edge in this fight would be Frazier's head movement, I dont think Marciano had the speed or coordination to land enough meaningful shots on Frazier's dome. Would be a great fight and for what it's worth Ali did say he thought Marciano was better than Frazier.

Frazier was a great fighter. I rooted for him in every single bout I watched him fight from Ali in 1971 to Jumbo Cummings.

However one must understand technical shortcomings especially those that were well known and well understood.

Fraziers hook was not more powerful than Marcianos punches. Joe knocked out few top fighters for a ten count. Marciano knocked many opponents unconscious.
