I rate Hagler the better fighter but going out on a limb here and picking Valdez on something like a SD

Hagler decision of around 9-6. Stylistically he's in very good stead here. Tho i consider him pretty average (for an ATG) adapting during a fight (corner could be a bit slow too) he was an extremely versatile fighter. There would be no thinking needed in this one - he'd be in box mode which was his usual self anyway. Valdes is at his best against stationary opponents where he can counter punch with great power. Marvin's lateral movement would turn Valdes often and not let him get set and his great jab would be piling up points. He would also further complicate things for Valdes with his switch hitting and Valdes did not have that much experience against southpaws which again muddies the water for Rodrigo. When Valdes does track him down Hagler has the chin and punching quality to hold his own in spurts. Hagler's chin is titanium and it's a good asset to have in this one as it will stave off the chance of any big sudden BOOM.
