One is a prime welter and 147 lbs max at fightnight in his prime, the other a prime 168 pound fighter who came in at 185 lbs.

Sugar would be giving almost 40 lbs away. (Roy would be 26% heavier)
And not just dead weight, Roy would also be faster than Sugar and p4p his equal or maybe even his superior.

I agree with OP that Jones would go through Robinson's resume undefeated. The one thing that makes me hesitate though is prime Roy's tentative performance against old man Mike McCallum.
The older Jones who started betting KO'd by every up-and-comer, get's beat by all of Robinson's notable opponents.

He never fought anyone with the speed and power of Roy.

    I agree entirely.

Griffin definitely faked it, but I couldn't believe what Roy did. Although it showed the world what he was capable of, when he was pissed.

It would have taken a special fighter to have beaten Roy in that mindset.
