Jones has to do same day weighin's correct... oh ok, so this topic is pointless considering Jones is way to big to be taking on Robinson's opponents.

Well obviously, when a boxing fan says Fighter A can go through Fighter B's resume undefeated, they mean on a P4P basis. P4P, Roy goes through SRR's resume undefeated.

It's like those who say Mayweather can go through Pacquiao's resume undefeated. Obviously, as a pro, Mayweather never weighed 108. So you you have to automatically think on a P4P basis.

Jones beats LaMotta, Armstrong, Maxim, etc. Pound 4 Pound.

Also, about the 200+ fights and fighting 5 times a day...I think that is pretty overrated when those fights ended pretty quickly and were scheduled for 10 rounds anyway. Not that SRR is overrated, obviously, I picked SRR for this thread because he has the best resume I can think of putting Roy through. But i'm saying, a lot of these fights ended in 2-5 rounds. If you give Roy 4 Eric Lucas's in one month, and then 4 Vinny Pazienza's next month, and so on, for a whole year, he'd most likely end up with a good ol' 48-0 record in one year with that level of opposition.

I can play this game too. Imagine if ray was around today. He would actually have time to heal an get full camps for the 1 or 2 fights a year that these guys take today. back then they would be icing down their wounds from a fight a night before while talking about a fight in two weeks

I've read that theory many times before, that is not new. Normalizing SRR in to a modern fighter with modern rules, resting, medicine, training, does not give him immunity of losing to the God-like being that was prime Roy Jones Jr.

Can you imagine SRR getting dropped by Del Valle or his Chin shattered and knocked comatose by Glen Johnson? I sure as hell can't.

But we're talking about prime Roy. Jones vs Johnson was not a prime Roy anymore, and he was almost 36 when that happened.

Roy at his best was great, but he wouldn't always be at his best if he fought through Robinson's resume.... Robinson proved to be more durable than Roy when you look at their careers as a whole. Prime Jones sure was a beast, but he went from being Superman, to not even being able to take a punch from Glen Johnson in a years time, there was no in between.

That durablilty would have to at least come in to question, when judging if he could walk through every fight of the GOAT. At what point in Robinson's career would Roy have lost a step? Because Roy Jones not at his very best, loses to quite a few fighters in hirstory other than Antonio Tarver. A fighter like Roy, if he fought long enough, was always gonna slow down just enough to get caught with a huge punch.. But when?

RJJ is a bit bigger than SRR so he already have an advantage. Too bad his chin is **** so i wouldn't be surprise he gets ko by some of SRR's opponent.

Jones, the man who juiced up, had a jaw made of genuine glass, was incredibly weak in the mental department and avoided ALL the big fights through out his career... in the same sentence as SRR?

OK, right, what ever you say. sorry, but Jones was a fraud. you don't go claiming to be the best when you avoid all the big fights. and you certainly can't claim him to be the best P4P for a decade, when the guy never became a champ in any of the divisions he ever fought in.

Jones was a great fighter, but not as great as people like to think he is. the proof is in the pudding.
