You said that the LHW’s would be too big, yet Roy beat a 230 pound, top 10 HW with absolute ease.

Ruiz would have been a big favourite over Canelo, as Canelo doesn’t possess the great elusiveness that Roy did.

 

It’s not the fact that Ruiz was a great HW, it’s the fact that a LHW and former MW beat him with absolute ease.

That’s what makes it impressive.

How can Roy have been fine back at the weight, when he was running on fumes for the last 3 rounds, in what was a SLOW paced fight??

True..but the ggg that fought canelo was slightly older and slower...I don't think the golovkin of 3-4 years before would've been as wary about throwing body punches.

Like I said I don't think he wins anyway but it's the only fight that interests me from the current crop of middleweights Vs a peak jones

 

Never said Ruiz was great. The point is, if Ruiz was so terrible, why was he so hard to beat by actual HW's from his era? And you just dismiss the feat that RJJ did accomplish, winning a HW belt as a former MW. If that is so easy, it would have been done more. You aren't exhibiting critical thinking here.
