For those who have wondered how prime RJJ would look v. Antonio Tarver, we're seeing it tonight. Great show so far by Chad Dawson! (8th rd I've got Dawson up 4)

Let me clarify something. Of course I'm not comparing Dawson to RJJ. Just saying his speed is impressive tonight.

At the same time, this is a faded Tarver, so you can't draw that conclusion. That said, I believe Roy would outdo Tarver in his prime without question.

Glass Jaw Roy was already KOed by Tarver and he lost 2-3. Roy has no Chin.

Tarver is stylistically just wrong for RJJ. Always has been and will be.

Wasn't really impressed with Dawson. Tarver was so bad, Dawson could have done more.

Bull****. He was nothing special, even in his prime, Roy was simply a faded fighter in all 3 fights, and he even managed to beat him in the first.

**** Tarver is a sore loser.

Edit: In the interview it was like pulling teeth to get him to admit that he lost and that Dawson outfought him.

Roy's chin was not "Glass" before he moved up to Heavyweight you dolt. It was the muscle loss that made his chin weak. The same thing happended to Tarver against Hopkins and Chris Byrd against Shaun George. Roy wasonly down once in his career before the move up to Heavyweight and that was a quick flash KD.

Roy would annihilate Tarver in his prime where chin would not be a factor for Roy. Tarver would have no answer and would be out before round 6.

While a younger Roy beats Tarver, I am pretty confident in saying he can't stop Tarver.

Roy would have been more impressive. More like how he looked in round 5 against Tarver in the 3rd fight, for EVERY round (or up until it's stopped).

I don't see it happening. I have never seen Tarver hurt in his entire career. Add to that the fact that RJJ does not really go for the knockout(against elite fighters) and you have your answer.

Eric Harding floored him and broke his jaw, he was rocked then. In round 5 i believe of the 3rd RJJ fight, Roy had him hurt but clowned to much. Glen Johnson rocked him a few times also in there fights.
