Beterbiev is an absolute monster but could he defeat a prime Roy at 175? For me Jones at his best (pre-heavyweight) was one of the most formidable fighters in the sport’s history and despite Beterbiev’s relentless pressure and power, I have to lean towards Roy in this one. A very tough fight for sure. How does everyone else see this one?
RJJ was fast and flashy and had legitimate pop. Beterbiev doesnt give opponents the space to operate and "box" like that though. I dont think fight goes the distance regardless of who wins. They'd have to fight 3 times imho...slight edge Beterbiev
Agreed on that but I have this strange feeling that Roy manages to survive for 12 rounds and wins a competitive decision.
I'd go with a prime roy over anyone at 175 in the last 20 years guys. we're not talking about the roy that lost to tarver that was clearly way past his prime. I'd go with points but he'd beat Ward, He'd beat Kovalev he'd beat bivol. anyone that doesnt agree with me. I guess.... Y'ALL MUST'VE FORGOT!!
