A prime Roy couldn´t compete nowadays because he failed the drug test. We never saw a prime Roy without steroids.

JC beat him by 11 points at 36 while clowning and showboating more than he was fighting. If he had been facing Jones at his prime, he would have had to give up the showboating, but the end resut would be the same. And no way Joe would have been KD'd in his prime.

Seriously, some yanks need a reality check. Besides, who did Roy face between Toney and Ruiz than were better than the guys JC faced btw Reid and Lacy?

I agree, but prime for prime Roy was in a whole different league. Joe could very well beat him, but I see if they fought 100 times prime for prime it would break down like this:

    Roy KO-65 times
    Roy Pts-25
    Joe Pts-10

Roy in his prime, compared to Joe in his, was on a completely different level. This is in no way an insult on Joe, as there are VERY few fighters who could even compete well with Roy in a prime for prime sense, let alone beat him. This is actually a compliment to Joe.

Prime for Pirme at 168, Id go with jones on pts. RJJ wouldnt box for a knock out againast good comp, he rarely did even at his peak.

before this fight i would have said jones comprehensively but i just dont think ive seen a guy with a stronger will to win or stronger desire than calzaghe and he really exerts his will to win on his opponent and when push has come to shove i dont think jones has shown the resolve calzaghe has

If Roy doesnt KO Calzaghe early on, I expect a wide UD.
