Too many variables to say for certain. Jones with better legs and reflexes is, obviously, a much more dangerous fighter, and a more elusive one. But Calzaghe had much more power before the hand injuries and was more agile himself. Add to that, Calzaghe's workrate, and Jones would likely still need a KO or multiple knockdowns to win. Not saying he wouldn't put Calzaghe away, but as we saw last night, styles definitely make fights.

Dont forget Jones was very fast, powerful, athletic & talented. They didnt call him Superman for nothing. Only advantage Calzaghe would have is stamina & fundementally more skilled.

And how do you feel about Hopkins & Toney, are those guys cops & firemen?

Jones didnt have to KO Tony, and Toney is an elite fighter. Jones doesnt have to win by KO to beat you. And remember that Jones was so fast and he had his legs back then. He would make Calzaghe chase him, therefore cutting down Calzaghe's output. In this match, Jones would still have the edge in power, and his chin was very good.

Roy Jones by UD in a close fight.I don't think jones stops a a prime JC.Remember it wasn't a punch that dropped JC it was a forearm and after that Jones didn't hurt him at all.

agreed. Jones has way too many advantages. And just like Mayweather did, Jones was able to make good A level fighters look like C average fighters

that was last nite, im talking 10 years ago when Jones had power with speed behind it which made that power even more effective.

    RJJ by UD.

He would not stop Calzaghe, because Calzaghe would not have showboated against prime RJJ like he did last night. And Jones did not go to KO the best opponents, he came to win and be secure of that.

Calzaghe would never have been as static as Toney was, but never have been able to fully pressurise Jones because Roy was too fast, too slick and the shots he was able to land sporadically last night would have been thrown three times as much and in bunches.

Calzaghe would be competitive, awkward and had some successes, unlike anyone else who fought prime RJJ. But he would have lost and lost by a comfortable UD.

do you think Calzaghe's chin can handle Jones' power?

You dont think if he caught Calzaghe with something big, he wouldnt KO Calzaghe?

An old Roy Jones knocked Calzaghe down in the first round so why not? Anyway, I think it would be from the volume of punches landed not from one single shot.

I'd give Jones the edge, but who knows...it could be close REGARDLESS of what the haters claim..they've been wrong too much to be taken seriously

This would resemble Jones vs. Brannon. One guy trying to smother Jones but gets countered and KO'd
