Fair post, I was trying to find a fighter on Jones' resume similar to Joe. What happens when Joe comes in and trys to windmill against Jones? He'll get countered ,dropped and then finished by one of the greatest finishers in history.

    :patsch :rofl :rofl :rofl

Jones was known as the guy that had KO power in both hands and could KO you with one punch. You better do your research bro.

far FAR poorer fighters went the distance with jones in his prime!
how do people think calzaghe would be embarrassed?? that is just plain idiotic

a prime calzaghe would have at worst 60-40 chance against a prime Jones, i think 50-50 too be honest!Jones was a ATG, but calzaghe style (chin,speed,skill,in-ring intelligence and adaptability) would cause anyone a problem.

The fights that jones would win would be done in far more spectacular fashion then the fights calzaghe would win against each other!Jones could KO calzaghe, while calzaghe would not KO jones prime for prime!

Do you realize at 168 only one fighter went the distance with Jones? His name is James Toney and everyone else at that weight was KO'd or TKO'd.

    Exactly.

When Jones was 32-0, 28 of those were by stoppage and two of the guys who he had beaten by UD already were Hopkins and Toney.

His solution would be his legs, his ability to move, his offense & his stamina. He wouldnt have let what happened to him last nite happen to him in his prime days.

Roy fought Glen when he was all ready KO'd and lost his confidence and he was overall past it. When Roy puts Joe down in their primes, he doesn't just sit back, he'll go in for the kill and KO him.

What has the author of Lord of the Rings got to do with this?
RJJ was a massive puncher at Middleweight and a very good puncher at Super Middle.

Using Jackson as an example of why he is not is hardly just, seeing as Jackson is widely accepted as one of the hardest p4p punchers of all time. It is like saying that Lennox Lewis is not a big puncher because he is not Foreman or Tyson.

Yes, Jones Jr. WAS a huge puncher, especially at MW. At SMW he still had one punch knockout power in either hand. He still had big power at LHW, as displayed in the Montell Griffin fight. Hell, he even shook John Ruiz, who isn't even a small HW.

In his prime, he's a smart puncher with decent power.

Agreed. He had to have great power to move up and fight Ruiz.
