so u decide to bring back roy jones vs joe calzaghe

what jones would you pick to fight a prime joe calzaghe

    jones that fought tony
    jones that fought griffen
    jones that fought hall

or any other fighters that jones fought

Prime Joe Calzaghe had undamaged hands and a terrific punch as well as phenomenal punch output and speed. Prime Roy had unparalled foot speed to go along with all his other natural abilities. I see Roy running from Joe and his offensive juggernaut and probably eeking out a hotly debated decision win in an ugly win. It's probably best that these two uniquely gifted, fast athletes never met back in the day, especially for Roy's legacy. Everybody thinks Roy in his prime was untouchable. Prime Joe would have showed Roy was very human even in victory.

1994-97 Jones was one of the best fighters ever h2h IMO. He was special.

At no point in Joe's career was he ever any better than a very good smw. He was not even great in h2h terms, never mind special. 2001 Hopkins & 1991 Toney would both have moved up and beaten him in hypothetical fights at 168.

Peak Superman? He would completely and utterly outclass, dazzle and punch out Joe Calzaghe. Mid-late rounds TKO after building a wide points lead.

When was Roy going to do that? Somewhere between feasting on garbage collectors and former police officers. Didn't Lou Del-Valle(sp) knock prime Roy on his arse. Didn't Roy have to blatantly cheat to try and win against a dwarf named Monteel Griffin and lose? Roy fought so many hobos, its unbelievable the adoration he gets. His resume is full of fluff.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
This shows your complete bias and lack of knowledge.

Roy whipped that boy's ass and the ref never stepped in to wave Roy off, so he kept punching.

Someone defending Calzaghe is in no position to criticize anyone elses resume.

Roy Jones. Most Calzaghe fans even acknowledge that Calzaghe would lose to Jones.

I dont even think Calzaghe thinks he woulda beaten a prime Jones. He waited til Roy was shot to pieces before fighting him.

Prime for prime... Roy wins a commanding UD over Joe.

That "dwarf" named Montel Griffin beat James Toney and was undefeated heading into the RJJ fight.

Resume full of fluff?Prime Toney, prime Hopkins, whom Roy beat worse than Joe beat the old version and older but still good Mike McCallum.Calzaghe's resume?Barely beat old Hopkins, couldn't ko shot Roy even though Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver destroyed shot Roy years before Roy and Calzaghe fought. And both old Hopkins and shot Roy had Calzaghe on his ass amongst others.OK,beat good, not great,Kessler, beat past it Eubanks, and had a ton of trouble against "worldbeater"Robin Reid when Joe's hands were good.I'd say based on the evidence that Joe's resume is marshmellow fluffier than Roy's.Shame on you.

Yes Roy suffered a flash knockdown against Del Valle.

Now lets discuss the circumstances surrounding Slappys knock-downs, shall we :hey

Prime Jones in this one all the way, I doubt Slappy would even win a round before getting TKO'd. Slappy knew it too, hence the years of ducking and WBO defences.

You've got a lot a nerve, Calslappy hid behind the WBOGUS title which BTW was NOT legit his whole overrated career.
