Prime Roy Jones vs Prime Joe Calzaghe

Jones, easily, and possibly by stoppage.

Calzaghe for probably the 1st time in his career, would have been in with someone with faster hands and better reflex.

I honestly dont think Joe would have even been competitive with Jones.

 

Calzaghe, his dad and Warren obviously didn't think so either, which tells you all you need to know about this mis-match :yep

 

I would have to pick Jones but I can honestly having watched so much of Calzaghe that I really don't know how good or bad he really was. Had he been 5-10 years younger then I don't think there would be any doubts as to his true standing.

 

Would love to have seen that fight. Would love to say Calzaghe, but I just can't see it. Think Jones wins on points approx 8-4 in rounds.

I think a prime Roy Jones would use a prime Calzaghe to hit Froch with!

 

At LH Jones would easily win the first 5 rounds and probably score a kd along the way, Jones speed would be very difficult for Calzaghe to deal with.. 2nd half would be pretty competitive. So a wide ud for Jones.
RJJ would probably whitewash Joe at SM though.

 

Calzaghe would always beat Roid Jones.
