Past best Calzaghe beat Jones who was in the middle of a run of wins

aha so calzaghe waited till roy was inbetween wins before daring to face him? and also waited till calzaghe had had his best wins?

after roy had been serially knocked out easily by nobodies of course. just a coincidence then. oh dear failey.

that's nothing, past best enzo mac beat jones who was on an even longer winning streak, and he stopped him easily too.

    So Enzo >>>>> calzaghe.

failey destroyed by the same Welsh that he loves.

Jones was a drugs cheat. Simple as. He should have all his titles taken from him like Armstrong the cyclist. Calzaghe with good hands would have beaten him in their prime anyways.

What does throwing triple hooks have to do with good fundamentals?

And... It gives a good indication of how it may have gone, when past best, faded, bloated Calzaghe could go up a weight and handle Roy in the midst of a winning run

but jones was on a much longer weinning streak versus enzo. so failey thinks that roy jones was even better against Macca than against joe HAHA!

Irrelevant. If a prime Roy beats prime Calzaghe, one could argue that an old Calzaghe beats an old Roy, which he did. It doesn't matter which version does what, all that matters is what happened when they fought.

Can't take away from Cal's victory.

    How can it be irrelevant?

The point of the thread is to specifically debate what may have happened.

What happened in 2008 is what's irrelevant here.
