Bowe would smash quarry. Norton would lose to a good few modern fighters but briggs? His only victory of note is against a man who valuev shut out! Briggs is dog **** and actually got humiliated by a 70's dinosaur
As for saying norton isn't a real champion, he got robbed against the media darling as pretty much everyone did after the thriller. Norton deserved to take the titles in 76 and when he fought larry in 78 they were clearly the top two heavyweights in the world, unless you're one of these lineal nut jobs and think ali-leon actually meant anything
And how can a hw king reside in another sport? I know you're trolling but atleast try to stay coherent :good
And Klitschko vs Haye is underated? Two modern heavyweights with no heart.Ali and Frazier finished in hospital and Haye and Klitschko were unmarked after fight.Frazier had heart more than all heavyweight today together and for you he was overated.
Sam is not 6'2. I trained in the same gym in Vegas quite a bit as Sam when he was a contender. He's not even 6'1. I watched Livingston Bramble measure him. I have no idea where 6'2 came from.
Frazier would probably out box him a good part of the way. But as Ali said, Frazier only know how to come forward and would get put down by Peter. We are talking prime Peter and when he was in his prime he had a lot of confidence in his ability to take a punch and dish one out.
The only argument I accept is the one made one one guy earlier in this thread which IMO was very level headed. He said we ought to look at how a past-prime, overweight James Toney out-boxed Peter for the most part and that's food for thought. Then again Toney was a defensive mastermind, excellent with the ropes in his back and highly evasive with a sense to where the next punch would go. Frazier on the other hand was very a one-dimensional go-forward slugger who looked great when going forward but at the same time he looked terribly clueless trying to fight on the backfoot. Frazier would land on Peter no doubt. But in order to do so he'd have to take a couple punches of Peter himself. Which his chin can't. Game over.
his KO over ruiz 50 years ago, his win over ibeabuchi and his knocking rahman silly AFTER the bell .... as for his last 10 years as a pro...10 years ago KO1 moorer 10 years since.. nothing tua is a legend among legends based on what he should have been..not what he actually was
I think peter's power is not really what it's cracked up to be. Which top class fighter's has he actually knocked out? He was a better boxer than tua and achieved more but I don't think his power is even the same ball park to be totally honest. A tko win over maskaev is all we have really isn't it? Mb makes a great point about how useless peter is on the back foot. Frazier forces him back and takes a wide ud. This is a guy who, in his prime, was schooled by a mw.
