Chambers is pretty tough, I agree. I just think Frazier had a better chin in his prime. When you consider how many good fighters Ali stopped, its quite remarkable that Frazier took all his shots without being hurt. I know people will say "Ali wasn't a puncher" but he stopped quite a few granite chinned fighters.

The problem with Frazier, is that he fought one huge puncher and was stopped. However, he never got his chin tested against a huge puncher in his prime, when he would have taken the shots better.

It's hard to know how tough he was, I'd agree with that. However, I think it was strong and the loss to Foreman wouldn't have happened in the same way if it was prime Frazier.

Good points. About the Foreman Fight, Joe was not sparked out either even getting caught by huge shots, always got up. Chambers instead was knocked out cold by Wlad. But the earlier knock downs in Joe's career he suffered. but again he was not in danger of getting stopped in those fights.

Then again. Who are the big punchers Chambers has face than Wlad.. Peter who did not caught Eddie with his best punch and test Eddie' chin. I also find Peter's punching power over rated. He was damn strong guy but he just did not have skills to transfer that power to his punches with that horrible punhing technique Samuel Had.

  5. Whoah! Hard to believe that's Sam Peter, that version of Peter is like a young but stronger version of Foreman. Look at the speed of him, look at the size of the *******! He's throwing punches there like Ted Bundy with a claw hammer. That version of Peter sees nobody have an easy fight against him.

LMAO @ Frazier. Remember this is the same Frazier some of the classic knob-heads here claim could punch through walls and has super-human strength.

2 fighters that are in a different league from each other.

joe fought and beat much bigger guys than peter.

there is no-way peter wins this fight , frazier is too fast , constant , basically too good for peter

frazier late stoppage or wide points win

  9. Frazier at 205 looks much fatter than Peter is when he's weighing 241. Frazier has a right little baby fat belly on him.

Good post! I cant think of many in the 70's outside of Norton who had six-pack ab's, even as little as they were. 70's Ali wasnt ripped, Frazier (as anybody can see) wasnt. Actually today's fighters look to be in better shape the most in the past...

Considering Foreman was the first and only puncher Frazier would ever fight, there's absolutely no evidence to support this. When you look at the punchers that fought in the 60's and 70's,and the one's who actually broke into the top ten,Frazier only ever fought one - and that was a fight he was forced into taking.

I'd reserve the "excellent chin" label for fighters who actually demonstrated such a thing against the top punchers of their era.
