    He WAS offered a rematch but turned it down, wasn't happy with the money. So for all his bitching he he had another shot & said no .. thought he deserved more even though he lost to Branco .. & Reid was pissing hotter than a Mexican cattle ranch anyway.. it's also clear as day he lost that fight anyway , Reid did well in the middle rounds but Calzaghe started and finished better. Calzaghe was a mess for that fight btw, he came in 7 pounds overweight on the day of the weigh in and during that period was still pained by an elbow injury which had limited his sparring... its all well documented. Unlike your American heroes he wasn't surrounded by a clever steroid program or a team of highly paid clinicians he was getting paid peanuts & he was barely even arsed about the sport due to lack of interest from the powers that be & constant health issues... This fight is often used as a stick to beat Calzaghe with but if you are an objective Observer and actually go back and watch the fight you'll still see he performed pretty well and won despite the problems he had. So ye keep wishing Calzaghe had lost to Reid & all the others because he didnt. Cope.

    Current vote tally:

    44 For Calzaghe vs 1 For Canelo.

    Never seen the forum so correctly united in anything.

    Canelo might land an early flash knockdown, as Joe was susceptible to them but Calzaghe always got up and had a work rate Canelo couldn't adjust to without gassing, even in his prime.

    Calzaghe wins via unanimous decision.

    Calzaghe cannot stop Canelo that much is certain. Mind you while know that we also know Canelo won’t be able to stop Super Joe Calzaghe. Points win either way.
