Interesting how Scott after 7 years out stopped the Hungarian in 4 rounds with 4 knockdowns, and Terry Flanagan ranked 4th best lightweight in country had to settle for a points victory against same lad tonight (8 round fight), no knockdowns

I hear Scott Harrisons hoping to get his licence back at the end of the month. Scott says if he does he plans on fighting May or June and he wants Ricky Burns to fight him in a non-title fight just for the fans? :bbb

Huge demand for the fight, after froch v groves and maybe khan v brook this match up has most demand in Britain I would imagine for tkt sales. Team burns have seen what happens when he fights good level opponents, so will unfortunately dodge giving the fans what they want, and look to take **** with fans giving them **** opponents for burns to pad up his record. Hopefully I am proved wrong and they give punters what they want as Ricky should be embarrassed with way so many fans have paid to watch him be terrible in last three home fights. Does not deserve peoples hard earned cash

If they fought years ago when Scott was active he would have been too much for Burns, however Ricky has gone from a good domestic fighter to fighting world class opponents. He improved so much in the last 5 years. They will never face one another but in a fantasy match up it would go to the scorecards because neither fights stops the other due to the size of theirs hearts. Ricky's height, jab and movement would be enough for him to defeat Harrison who would always be putting the pressure on Burns.

You're just jealous and negative towards Burns, how many world titles have you won yourself?

    Etc.

That's how it usually goes in here when you say someone would beat Burns.

Just saying how I think the fight would have gone, its realistic what I said.

Ricky had been outclassed by any world class opponents, Mitchell and kasdidas are not world class and they were his only good performances in recent years. Ricky's jabs are and we're not hard enough to keep scott at bay, Scott has better footwork, cuts of rings perfectly so would control fight. Let's not forget Ricky has went back 30% or more in last 3 fights. He is not a shadow of fighter that beat Mitchell and Kastidas

You must be an offical Harrison ass licker mate, if Scott was so good he'd have beat Walsh and don't harp on about 3 weeks notice he had at least 6 weeks.
Burns would destroy Harrison within 5 rounds and Harrison just wants a payday and that's not going to happen in real terms is it

Huge demand I agree, but I notice Burns manager Alex Morrison commented on Harrisons challenge to Burns.
Morrison said: " I find Harrisons claim laughable, since, at the moment he doesn't have a licence. The disappointing thing is if Scott had stayed with me then a fight with Ricky Burns was a distinct possibility".

So what does this mean then if Scott gets his licence back at the end of the month the fight will still not happen because Scott's no longer with Alex?

I'm sure Alex will put his personal feelings to one side and make the fight the Scottish fans want to see?

It's double standards from old Alex, as he said when managing Scott he didn't want them to fight as he'd been with a Ricky so long he would feel uncomfortable and would want Ricky to win. This is opposite to his comments now

He beat Walsh was terrible judging, not all Beltran scale I must say. What would Ricky destroy him with? Surely not his feather fists? Feather fists and can't take a punch in ribs without moaning to Billy. Ricky couldn't destroy Scott in a months of Sundays, as lacks power in punches simple

Aye, old Alex has been making himself look silly lately with all his wacky comments.
I think he is a few pence short of a pound, if you know what i mean :nut

What is the saying "There's no fool like an old fool"
