But is Abril Burn's next opponent? if he isn't then why not Harrison. **** it, if you're so confident it's a Burns win, make the fight, easy money and a big fight for Scotland.

Let's see who Burn's next opponent is, if it's some scrub that no ****er has heard of, well that will tell you why people would rather watch him in against Harrison, no matter how far back Harrison has gone.

I know where your coming from Billy in regards to fighting Scott or Abril but except the hardcore fans nobody would know who Abril is!! In terms oof catching the public's imagination I actually think that Ricky vs Scott is the bigger fight!! Sky could promote that fight to both Ricky's loyal fans and the loyal fans of Scott and 2 of Scotland's greatest fighters squaring off would get loads of buzz in the papers. There would also be the Master vs Apprentice angle with Peter training Scott and you training Ricky.

In an ideal world Ricky vs Abril would be the bigger fight but in terms of making money the Ricky vs Scott imo would make more. It will depend on what plans Eddie has and if he would like to make a quick killing on the back of both fighters reputations.

Saying that I don't think they should fight each other and would rather they went in separate directions because I wouldn't want either to lose the fights!!

Come on mate, Billy got an E, isn't even worth the paper it's printed on. :rofl

Anyway, Burns isn't in a position to be dictating that he wants a world title shot next, he'll fight who he's bloody well told. Honestly after Burns' last few performances, if he got a shot at a world title immediately it'd be a disgrace. He was comprehensively beaten in a resounding mismatch. It's back to the drawing board (domestic level) when that happens; could you imagine if he fought Vasquez next? Taggart would be on the scene afterwards.

But it would appear Eddie is lining up winner of Crolla v Murray for Ricky not Abril. Plus unless Ricky improves drastically he won't beat any of the world champions, and in Scotland harrison v burns would sell more tickets than any other fight, world title fight or not.

But as I'm sure your aware tvwant titles and at present Scott's not Ian position to challenge for one.
I hope he gets his licence back and if he fights on earns a few quid but I simply can't see the two fighting

99% of Scotland know who a Ricky is, same with Scott. Ricky has a clean cut Image, Scott the opposite. Then the fact Scott has more world title wins in history, Ricky second most. Then fact that Billy learned of Peter Harrison, and fact we love an underdog, and there styles will gel in the ring we have a classic will propel both fighters if they do to the same status as Watt and Buchanan to the masses. Add all of this and you have a classic that no doubt would earn both career high publicity and wage packets. (I hope Eddie Hearn is using these facts soon). If u want it tweet Eddie Hearn folk as we the punters will make it happen

Fair enough if he gets world title shot next but if not do you think Ricky wouldn't want £500,000 to fight scott? Now I don't know wage but 20,000 crows would generate such a purse no doubt. If this was case would you advice Ricky to take fight?

Scott Harrison vs Ricky Burns will happen!

#BurnsHarrison already trending like crazy on twitter and there's already a massive demand for it. Eddie Hearn aways follows the money and he knows this fight would be massive.

The whole of Scotland wants the fight to happen and it's easy to make now that Burns is no longer Champion or any type of Belt holder. The fight would just be a one off special attraction event, it may not do anything for Burns in terms of rankings but this fight is all about making money for each boxer as they're both coming to the end of their careers.

Sounds like the fight was already being talked about last month in The Scottish Scum.

    http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/article4788503.ece

The only two people who are stopping this fight from happening is BILLY NELSON and RICKY BURNS as deep down they're both afraid, Nelson is afriad to go against the Peter Harrison, the man who taught him everything and Burns is afriad of Scott Harrison, the man who didn't even think Ricky was a good enough sparring partner for him.

SCOTLAND wants this fight, it would be their Froch-Groves and despite what some people think, it would be a competitive fight and if Harrison had 10 weeks to prepare himself and get himself right 100% physically and mentally he would certainly give Ricky a tough fight and win at least 3 rounds and if Ricky had another bad night then Scott could even pull off the upset.

I understand what you are saying about TV wanting titles but only a couple of weeks ago we had the show in Hull where Tommy Coyle was top of the bill fighting for the IBF International title. I'm sure Eddie would manage to pull strings to get a similar belt on the line for a bout with Scott vs Ricky? Here is how a bill could look?

Ricky Burns vs Scott Harrison (International title)
Willie Limond vs Curtis Woodhouse British and Commonwealth Titles?
John Simpson vs Josh warrington Commonwealth Featherweight Title
    Stevie Simmons vs Wadi Comacho
    Luke Campbell vs Paul Appleby
    Anthony Joshua vs Selected opponent
Michael Roberts vs ? Celtic or Scottish Title?

That card would sell mega tickets in Glasgow and imo is quite a possible card?

I've said before that I would rather the fight didn't happen but that doesn't mean that if the figures are there it won't

Great realistic card mate. Between us we could do Hearns job for him. This fight would take boxing to masses and many of these casual fans would become big boxing fans as a result, benefitting Scottish boxing as a whole moving forward

I'd buy a ticket for that.

But then again change Scott's name for Crolla/Murray and I'd also buy a ticket for it.

Crolla v Burns would be like watching paint dry, boring as ****. Murray v Ricky would be better, as Murray comes ahead. But compared to Ricky v Scott both are **** and would not attract the masses

But Ricky would be better off fighting Harrison rather than Crolla/Murray.

If Ricky isn't getting a world title shot next then Scott Harrison would be the best opponent for him domestically.

But we know he will fight the winner of Crolla/Murray which will no doubt be some form of eliminator for another crack at a World Title.

For me (whilst I'd like to see it but not overly fussed about it) Ricky has a path/options. Scott doesn't it seems but is trying to make one just now.

What is Scott's next move out of curiosity? I guess get a license is first.
