I think your last 7 words say it all David.Harrison was a nightmare for ANYBODY 10 years ago. He was just getting to the point where his fights would have got more interesting when he fell off the rails. In boxing terms its a tragedy, even more so for him.His showing against Walsh proves what he was like, but he can't get those years back. I would like to see him get his license back, and maybe he could do something at British level, but there isn't much time left, surely.

The fight is happening Billy, it was being talked about last month.

What other big paydays are out there for Ricky? A fight with Harrison would pay him the most money, even more then another World title shot.

If Harrison gets a 10 week training camp for the fight and is in the possible condition he can be at 36 years old then i think he'll make it a tough fight for Ricky and i have no doubt he'd win at least 3 rounds. If Ricky is on the slide like i think he is then i'd even fancy Scott could pull off a Split Decision victory.

This is a special attraction fight, a bit like Bruno-Bugner that would sell like crazy and make Ricky some nice retirement money.

some strange posts here, Michael Brodie wasnt finished? Scott Harrison could have beat Walsh? Brodie was shot to **** and Walsh was obviously taking it easy on Harrison probably out of respect

Don't talk shite Walsh tried his best to get Harrison out of there in round 9.

I wouldn't say Brodie was shot to **** against Harrison. Brodie took plenty of punishment in the first round and came back in the second to give Scott as good as he got. Scott done Brodie at the end of the third round with a vicious body shot and he never recovered and Scott put him away with the same shot in the 4th.
I would say the Brodie that fought Crolla was shot.

I agree the Chi fights took a lot away from Brodie, but i wouldn't go as far to say he was finished.
A lot of people are saying Ricky is done with, but I don't agree with that either.
We should be praising our Scottish boxers achievements Billy.

Well for a fight like that if your Ricky u take a share of profits like Froch does, as it would no doubt generate £1m plus in gate receipts alone. As for Brodie, he admitted he turned down a fight a few years earlier for European Title with Scott, and the offer was very good financially. Was there the night they fought, was a good fight until Scott broke his rib(s), even if it was a year or two before that shot I think would have stopped him, doubt his ribs were stronger then

To my knowledge Scott has never failed a medical, he has had his license suspended for outstanding paperwork relating to a case in Spain nothing else. I am not saying he is an angel, and am sure he has never said that either but I have not seen bad press relating to him in some time (if he was doing all these things it would be in the press no doubt). Photos would suggest hes telling the truth regarding being in the gym day in day out (he looks lighter than he used to between fights) and has a right if medically fit and capable of boxing to fight (lets me honest license or not anything he does good or bad will be in the press will always refer to him as a boxer)

A bit of the green eyed monster there Stevie!
Scott not having a licence is got nothing to do with drink and drugs.
It's sounds like you're just having a dig at Scott and his Father because you're jealous of their achievements.
