I'd have to go with Sek-C Sergio. Naturally bigger, stronger, and probably faster. A prime Sergio was great at creating angles too. Canelo would have his moments, but he wouldn't apply enough pressure to beat someone like Sergio.
I was thinking about this a few days ago. I think Martinez takes it. I don't think Canelo would be able to deal with the angles and he'd have a lot of trouble landing cleanly on Martinez. It wouldn't be a one sided beating though. I'd favor Martinez 7/10 times.
What in the world are some of you smoking?!!! This isnt even a fight! Martinez OBLITERATES! Yes, OBLITERATES Canelo. Sergio dismantled JCCjr for 11 1/2 rounds even though he was outweighed by about 20lbs easily. Martinez a fast handed, fast footed high skill south paw with punching power is Canelos worst possible matchup. Forget the Martinez that faced Cotto as that guy was a shell of his former self.
No they dont but they are both fighters that come straight ahead. Jr is a bigger stronger version of Canelo in a sense and SM ate him for breakfast. Point is a prime SM destroys Canelo. Just the worst possible matchup imaginable.
This one's easy. Sergio makes a fool out of Canelo. Imagine something like Canelo-Mayweather, but with more showboating and more power by Sergio. Canelo would be clueless. He does not have the footwork to box with Sergio, and has never tasted that much power. By the way, for those of you who don't remember, Canelo called out Sergio several times and then one day stopped doing it, after his people told him to stop. The same people who want no part of Golovkin also wanted no part of Sergio. Fact! LOL.
You guys are under rating Canelos boxing skills and power. I think prime Sergio takes it, but he was always susceptible coming in--and Canelo is the best counter puncher since JMM ESP with the left hook to the body. Prime Sergio vs ggg is a better argument
Sergio tears Canelo's face off, and KO's him in the mid rounds, it wouldn't even be competitive, Mayweather and Manny ducked him for good reason.
In Sergio's defense, it wasn't like he was the healthiest guy for the last two years of his career, and GGG wasn't very well known at the time, Murray was coming off of drawing with a champion in Sturm, GGG was coming off up stopping a NBCSN level JMW in Rosado, at least he had a few legit reasons.
