Prime Holyfield at his best wins, too much work rate for Lisotn.
Holyfield proved himself against 3 men bigger than Liston.

Pre Patterson, Liston would win by unanimous decision, or late knockout.
Still, Holyfield is an ATG fighter, with a good chin.
And Holyfield would at best look like he did after the Bowe fight, or he would be knocked out.
Liston from the fight with Cleveland Williams.

I could see Liston taking 2/3 like Bowe

Does Unholyfield get to use PEDs?

Sonny Listom may have quit against Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) in Feb 1964, but we are talking prime Liston, the same Sonny, who outboxed a prime Eddie Machen in 12 rounds in Sept 1960, the same Liston who took out the hard hitting prime Cleveland Williams, twice. We all know that Holyfield defeated Tyson, twice, and Bowe. Size has very little to do with an advantage, Liston fought with a busted jaw in a losing effort against Marty Marshall in 1954. It would be a very tactical bout by both but Liston's effective aggressiveness would prove to be the winning factor, Sonny by unanimous decision. Prime Liston was a more consistent winner, he had a better defense.

Liston's jab gives Holyfield fits, and Holy's "never say die" warrior attitude, that forces him to get into slugfests with far more powerful punchers, seals his fate.

Liston late TKO though I can also see Holy going the distance. That chin was ridiculous.

Poor Holyfield, he will continue that sad look on his face as the Big Ugly Bear growls. Roar !.

1960 Liston vs 1990 Evander would be a war of epic proportions. I wouldn’t be surprised with any outcome

Holyfield outworks Sonny to a close, but clear decision with Holyfield decisively taking the final rounds.

The guy who quit twice aint beating a Holyfield who made money fighting guys like Bowe,Tyson,Lewis,Douglas,Mercer,Foreman,Holmes,Michael Dokes,Botha etc.
Holyfield work rate is insane and could fight for 15 rounds non stop punching and had granite chin so no, Liston aint beating that prime Holyfield.
