Prime Sonny Liston vs Prime Leotis Martin

Martin was a skilled boxer/puncher, but prime Liston would kayo him in around eight. Liston was already past his prime by the time Patterson fought him.

 

Lol. Seriously, Liston by early ko in his prime. Liston, was winning the fight before he got koed.

 

No, it was not a blow that knocks anyone out! Martin landed a solid punch and Sonny dropped like a shot animal. He was out like a light for 60 seconds.

I have heard, but not confirmed that Liston was down for a no-count vs. Marshal.

In the first Ali fight, Ali visibly shakes up Liston before he quit.

Chins are best graded when they are hit. Ali and Martin tell me Liston's chin was over rated. Martin might be the 2nd best puncher who landed on Liston. Liston did fight Cleveland Williams twice. Willaims busted up Sonny's face, before going out once Sonny landed in return.

 

Did you not see the blow? Marshall only broke his jaw. Liston was only dropped once in his entire career by a shot that would've cold ****ed anybody. Williams did more than bust Sonny up. He broke his nose. Those shots would've floored anybody. Anybody but Liston.

 

Martin always beats Liston. Every time someone stood up to Liston and punched back he lost. Once you get past the 5th round with the one dimensional Liston he quits. The mob controlled every outcome to Liston's fights...except for the 4 times the deal was reneged.

 

Isn't that what Cleve Williams tried twice?
