    Weaver's chin was just too fragile. Poster boy for a glass chin.

    Actually Liston was the slightly bigger man .. both 6'1", Liston a good eight pounds heavier and four or five inches of reach ..

    Weavers chin wasn't glass in his prime, it was quite reasonable. It ended up plenty shaky later on tho.

    Liston was 212 lbs vs Williams, Folley and Harris, 3 of his best wins. Weaver was as high as 220 in his prime I believe

    He was under 205 for the first Holmes fight and under 210 for Tate.

    Sonny Liston by KO.

    One fight I do like watching is Weaver/Williams. The Truth had Weaver hurt and on the ropes and he is pounding away at him and he just telegraphs a right hand a little too much and Hercules whips a hook and ends the fight. It`s actually kind of funny. Mike Weaver was a legitimate knockout puncher.

    Thinking now, maybe Weaver manages to take Liston in to the late rounds, but eventually loses by ko.

    This ends badly for Weaver, Sonny's jab finds his face often and hard . Mike wasn't a mover at all so he's positioned squarely on Sonny's dinner plate till Liston decides to finish his meal in round 5.
