Nothing disqualifies a poster's credibility than unqualified statements. Yes Liston was KO'ed by Martin. That being said , perhaps the statement should be framed for perspective by pointing out he was north go forty when it happened and Sonny was not a well preserved forty at that. :?

He was the same age when he got KO'd by Martin as Wlad dismantling AL a couple weeks ago.

NO. YOU try to get something right. I am London through and through ( albeit East London to Haye's South East London ) but David did NOT even ATTEMPT to fight W.K. For all his verbal he went in to survive. NOTHING MORE.

Dead right, which made his pre-fight boasts seem ridiculous.

Oh I see, this has descended into cowardly trash talking behind your computer instead of posting any constructive argument to how WK could defeat Liston.

I have no time to read nonsense and you are now blocked.

    You are dead to me.

no, he would still, and today more than ever before a
    scary person

I Watch Chisora spits water into the face Wlad Klitschko or
Shannon Briggs stupid actions and I guarantee you
that neither Briggs or Chisora would never try that to Liston

and if they do, it would not surprise me if both were dead
    a few days later.
Liston self and his contacts were and would be still spooky
and he was a real gangster type.

He destroy a gang leader in prison
at a young age , he destroyed several people in prison.

Chisora and Briggs are Clowns and Klitschko
grew up in very good conditions.

So you have no clue about what you talking.

I recently re-watched Liston fights and I have to agree. I think the problem is that Liston's feet are too slow. On the other hand, I think Wlad's prime - yet rarely credited - asset is his footwork and footspeed. He didn't get caught on the ropes for a second during 12 rounds of angry plotting Peter.

To illustrate: Liston couldn't land anything significant on Machen. Wlad didn't drop a single round against Byrd & Chambers, both at least as good as or better than Machen.

The other thing I noticed is Liston's lack of handspeed. His right hand is strongly telegraphed, Ali dodged it with ease. Williams - whose record when he stepped up is utterly unimpressive - had no difficulty finding good old Sonny.

Also note that prime Liston is about Byrd's size. He has a lot of ground to cover and that's going to be one hell of a task without a speed advantage.

Byrd pushed Wald back and he doesn't have the power to burst a bubble. Wlad was clinching all over him.
Watch it. Just look at it!

    Liston bludgeons him

Good points all around. I think the speed advantage for Wlad (hand and foot) is real, and he's not getting enough credit for that, along with his footwork.

    yes **** analysis you mean.

ali dodged liston because ali was fastest hw ever.

wlad has no chance of dodging liston since he cant dodge a 37 year old retired guy who never made it as a contender when prime, let alone 10 years late.

liston still kills wlad, probably in round 1.
