Prime sonny liston vs

Stylistically he would be horrible for Holmes and larry did admit it.Liston stops Holmes. Longer reach,stronger jab,a chin to take the larry shots, Holmes could not run because he did not have the footwork of a young clay and he did not fight like that neither.
Liston would ko Norton i think.
Foreman would stop him but i think that he should get up to do it.the bigger heart wins in this war.
Frazier vs Liston is an intriguing match to me. Frazier was no fragile small guy like patterson,Frazier was built like a bull, he had the frame to take blows from hws(Unlike patterson).Frazier and Liston were pretty close in weight prime vs prime. Simply joe was more compact.it would not be any one sided fight, both should fight seriously for a win

Liston TKO6 Frazier

 

Liston would lose to all but Norton. Hed crush Norton. Hed quit against Holmes and Frazier and get knocked out cold by Foreman.

 

I'm not convinced that Liston does too well against that field.

 

Maybe not real Liston, but this is Fantasy Liston. Totally different animal.

 

Fantasy Liston ... I can't even think about that brooding dark cloud of remorseless violence without starting to shake. Guys like that shouldn't be allowed.

Foreman is interesting. But I'll still go with George.

 

Norton would give Liston all he could handle. I would give Norton a solid chance to win it.

Holmes would lose, he is just not as good as Ali, and Liston would catch him .

Frazier vs Liston would be a dream fight, but most people forget how unstoppable Joe was in his prime, he will win in an all time great war.

George Forman loses, as much as I hate to admit it. The young Foreman was crude and elementary in his style, I see Liston using his reach and boxing ability to win a decision. This is one fight Old George Foreman could win though.

 

Liston haters are on the force in this thread I see.
