    After 2 yrs he would be the best welterweight of his era that retired to play tennis. But then Big Bill Tildon would kick his ass. In more ways than 1 if you know Big Bills predilections.

    I hope I don`t get banned for this but Ray was sexually abused by an olympic amateur coach who put his hand down down Ray`s pants when he was 15 and Leonard ran away, Leonard`s cool, cocky ring persona was his alter ego.

    Leonard would not have survived Duran' s career from 67- 80 much less 120 overall. He would have 40 ko'd by on his record. His body and constitution could not handle lots and lots of fights yr after yr. Especially in the 1910s and 20s.

    Leonard was quoted as saying this incident was the reason for his cocaine addiction, I read it in an article written in the sun newspaper by sports journalist Coluin Hart.
