sweet pea UD to much skill for cotto! also giving cotto a good lesson and giving some wobbles because sweet pea took more risks then PBF etc

Cotto blocks right hands with his face. Sweet pea would dominate Cotto. Pea is on another level and was able to beat bigger/better men then Cotto.

    You underestimate Cotto's defense

He wasn't blocking many of Mosely's right hands.

I don't recall Mosley doing much other than coming forward and getting tagged cleanly, while landing very few clean shots of his own.

Both Cotto and Mosely landed the exact same amount of punches in that fight, and Mosely landed more power shots. So if Mosely wasn't landing any clean punches, and he landed the same amount of punches as Cotto(and also more power shots), then what the hell was Cotto landing? Watch the fight again. You'll see Mosely landing that clubbing right hand repeatedly during the fight.

Punch stats are the most ridiculous thing about boxing, they are hardly ever accurate, and sometimes(like that fight) they are simply laughable.

I was rooting for Shane, but couldn't give him more than 3 clear rounds, while Cotto won at least 6 or 7, with a couple even. Cotto clearly outboxed him and landed the cleaner shots.

I'm not arguing who the fight, all I'm saying is that Mosely was able to repeatedly land that right hand. Compubox isn't 100% accurate, but it's accurate enough that if you watched that fight frame by frame, you would see that both fighters landed about the same amount of punches.

He was getting hit with the overhand right, which is to be expected with his high guard. But he does have a better defense than he is given credit for. He picks off punches well and does a nice job of going under left hooks.

    Right into an uppercut.

And when Shane straightened out the right he would tag Cotto and control the distance. Cotto's D is average.
