Never great in big fights ? He beat Quartey who had 34-0 record and who was better than Spence, aswell as Whitaker, Vargas, Chavez, which were all big fights.....

How many big fights has Crawford had ?

Pretty sure these are young punks all saying that....because they heard that from others. Fact of the matter was, Oscar was a beast at 147. His 'stamina issues' are greatly exaggerated by kids who were on the nipple when oscar was at 147. IMO, respectively.

People always go overboard after a fighter gets a good win. You'd think some would have caught on by now

Terence Crawford wins. Superior physical talent and superior ring iq. Oscar struggles with athletic fighters like Mosley, Whitaker and Quartey and that was old Whitaker. Think Oscar fades down the stretch. Clear but competitive 8-4 win for Crawford

To be fair Pernell fight was a coinflip and JCC Jr was over the hill. Still great wins but its not like they were poster wins.

I voted Crawford beating DLH and thats only because he's literally never had a close fight and - more importantly - is legitimately a mean man. Oscar didnt fold early in his career but the Mosley losses and BHop loss showed a softer side. Not that DLH was soft but I dont know that he could match Bud's intensity.

FWIW I have prime DLH beating prime Floyd

That was not just a good win, it was an ATG win. I literally cant remember a fight where two universally regarded Top 5 PFP fighters resulted in such a beatdown. Both guys undefeated and fighting for 1st undisputed WW champ in 4 belt era...big stage.

Whilst Chavez and Whitaker were past their best they were still big fights, and so were fights vs Quartey and Vargas who were in their prime Quartey is better than Spence.

As for softer side ? Just look at Vargas or Mayorga fights when someone annoyed ODLH he beat them up, as for Mosley well again Mosley is better than anyone on Crawfords resume and ODLH was robbed vs Mosley in their 2nd fight.

Crawford has never had a close fight agreed but he also has never faced anywhere close to ODLH's opposition, Crawford's opposition for a top P4P fighter is very mediocre.

At what weights do you have De La Hoya beating Mayweather at their best. From 130-154 ?

All the weights. Mayweather beat DLH but even that fight, widely held a 7-5 fight, but reasonable scores range from 8-4 to 6-6. A lot of the rounds were swing rounds and that was against an over the hill, part-time coke addict DLH.

PRIME DLH beats PRIME FLOYD at any weight.

Oskee close decision. Bud isn’t a natural welter, same as Oskee so I really don’t think Bud would hurt Oskee as much as people think he does. It’d be close at any weight IMO.

 So any fight that you deem 'Big' means an automatic loss for Goldy? Great post!
