Boxing doesn't play favourites. It chews them up and spits them out at all levels.

laughable. Cotto was about to lose to Corley, Torres, and Judah, but had to resort to low blows to turn the tide. Bradley would have spanked Cotto. Cotto is fairly over rated.

Very close... very competetive.... but have to go with Cotto here. His power would prove the difference maker.

Cotto 7 rounds to 5, UD

Cotto's timing, power, and ring generalship was a cut above. Tim's speed and well-rounded arsenal would make it competitive but he wasn't quite good enough to outbox Cotto and he's not hanging with him on the inside.

Bradley is more overrated than Cotto is and looked worse against worse fighters.

If it was at 140 I'd pick Bradley but I'd take Cotto at 147

There's nothing much to support the conceit that Cotto was a level above Bradley. Rather the opposite, if we take a look at their respective showings against elite fighters.

Im not saying you are wrong but just interested....

Who has Bradley looked worse against, that is worse then say... Torres and Chop Chop? Both who gave Cotto scary moments and Torres who troubled Cotto quite a bit. Not to mention Malignaggi giving Cotto a very very good scrap.

Just my .02 but I think Cottos win over Mosley is better than anything Bradley has done.
In fact, I think it can be argued that Cottos loss to Mayweather is on par if not better than any showing of Tims against Pac.

Tim has the JMM fight and of course he performed better against their common opponent.... but he also fought him about two and a half years after Cotto did (with two pretty tough fights for pac in that timeframe) and to me that matters.

But fair point.... I do agree its not as clear as one might initially assume. I dont see the case for Bradley here either though. I think its fairly close.... with Cotto edging it because I think the Mosley fight edges the JMM fight, and the Mayweather loss edges the Pac 'win' for Bradley, coming in third is Bradley losing better against Pac than Cotto did.

    Its close.

    Nice observation.

No result is particularly surprising here but I find myself leaning toward Cotto

Diego Chaves and Provodnikov are IMO worse than Corley and Torres. Cotto had issues in those mentioned fights but he didn't look as undisciplined and unfocused as Bradley did for large stretches of those fights. Even Jessie Vargas had him nearly out in the 12th. The 6 fight stretch from the first Pacquiao fight to the Vargas fight, in each one he either lost or won with some kind of controversial asterisk. Cotto had a bad night against Trout and was injured against Ali, but he never looked so consistently sloppy. Tim should have hooked up with Atlas sooner.
