Bad matchup for Tito. Hearns can beat Tito by KO, or win a wide UD. Hearns had it all (chin aside). Fast hands, a lot of power, exceptionally skilled, light on his feet. Giving Hearns a suspect chin is gods way of keeping things fair. Like Whitaker w/o a big punch. :D

    Hearns KO 4

Trinidad couldn't get past the jab and he'd be getting lambasted with power shots from the outside. A bad matchup for him.

Hearn's right hand would find Tito like a laser guided missle. Tito's only hope would be if his hook caught Hearns, hurting him, and then jumping for the kill. Tito's one of the best finishers. But I don't think that would have the chance to happen.

It would be a brutal fight for Tito...Brooklyn do you think that Tito would have any chance of hurting Hearns with his own power? Suppose Hearns chooses to fight him like a boxer puncher and is willing to exchange. I know Tito couldn't hold up to hearns power shots, but do you think Tito has any chance of getting respect out of hearns? If Tito did hurt Hearns do you think that Tito could finish him? Tito was a great finisher.

Trinidad couldn't get past the long range arsenal that Tommy possesed. He'd be outjabbed by Hearns and would have alot fo trouble trying to engage him.

Trinidad gets destroyed by Tommy's lightning quick bombs from the outside and is stopped by a brutal right hand.

    Hearns TKO5

If Hearns got careless and allowed Trinidad to get in close where he was most vulnerable, than Trinidad could most certainly get his respect if he landed something big (either a left hook or a right hand). I'd venture to say we'd see Hearns' legs go a little shaky if he got hit flush when he didn't see it coming. He had trouble tying up when he got hurt at 147, so he'd have to get on his bike until his head clears, using his jab to keep a distance. Trinidad could finish him though, but as we all know, the chances of this situation occuring would be slim indeed.

Yea Tito would only have a punchers chance nothing but a punchers chance. If he couldn't get in fast enough to hurt hearns than he'd get slaughtered.

The question is, how many welterweights could have beaten Hearns? We know Leonard could, but other than that? Robinson, Griffith...

Hearns' height, reach, speed, technical foundation, and power are nightmares for just about anybody.

only hope tito has of winning is trying to brawl with hearns. even when it comes to that he's outgunned, be it 147 or 154. hearns is too good of a boxer, and will tag tito all night with power shots from the outside. tito has no way of getting past the jab. not to mention hearns was a good body puncher when he mixed his attack up, or commited to the body.

Tito has been KO only once from accumulation of punisment in the 11 round by Hopkins. Hearn was KO several times. I would say Tito would win by KO.

Dude Hearns is a stylistic nightmare for almost any 147lber...Hearns would have to go in there with a complete lack of respect and recklessness against Trinidad and he'd have to make a bunch of mistakes and get caught and wobbled. Only then would Tito have a chance, but that ain't happening.
