Some awesome facts you got there, I especially love the first one....:patsch

So according to your logic, Pacquaio beats Hopkins? The funny thing about this is that the guys you mentioned there all would wipe the floor with Pacquaio.

Thank you for confirming my TRUE facts about you being the dumbest poster on here. :rofl

Tito obviously. Pac isn't a welterweight.

Who would win between Floyd Mayweather and Mike McCallum at 154?
Who would win between Juan Manuel Marquez and Aaron Pryor at 140?
Who would win between Paul Williams and Bernard Hopkins at 160?

Putting a guy in against a great fighter from a division he is not big enough for or has hardly ever fought in is not a fair hypothetical.

What else do you want then? Don't be so dense man...

It all boils down to - he had two items that when combined can make plaster of paris - thus the "elements of plaster of paris". Think about it, why did he get a one year suspension and is able to apply for renewal of his boxing license. If he truly did have something more serious in there, he would have gotten jail time without a doubt. Attempting to cheat my friend....

Speaking of remarkably stupid, you've discredited everything Tito achieved as a Welterweight by saying it was based on hype. Your words, not mine.

If you feel Oscar won the fight, then that is fine. You're entitled to your opinion. But if you do honestly feel Trinidad was based on hype then this isn't even debatable, you should take up golf.

*******s are now trashing Trinidad's accomplishment. When trinidad ranks higher than MAB, JMM and Morales.

Oooh... he beat up a fading Camacho, overrated Campas and Carr, a crack addicted Sweet Pea and got a gift from Oscar. What an accomplishment. Sugar Ray Robinson should feel shamed in comparison.

I'm actually among those who feel Trinidad is often overrated. He didn't do enough to be ranked higher than MAB and EM, but he was not based on hype. He fought the best of his time, and as a Welterweight, never came out on the losing end. He was a terrific fighter with flaws. He was not based on hype, though.

If the "best" of your time isn't impressive, then neither is your record. The fact that he fought and beat them means nothing, unless the context of those victories is properly considered. So to see him as anything other than a decent champ - who benefitted from some luck is to acknowledge that considering him an ATG based on what he actually accomplished - is an unsuitable judgement.

Trinidad benefited from a little luck, just as most top fighters do at some point or another. (Barrera/Morales 1 and 2, Oscar vs Sturm) but that doesn't mean his career was based on hype. He fought the best fighters in his division, and won sigifnicantly more times than he lost. You can't ask more from a fighter.

Trinidad is an overrated fighter because he dominated a fairly weak division and was lucky against Oscar. We can agree on those things. The hype comment though? Bull****.

    What is hype?

It's an intentional strategy used by those who deem to give great stature to something that may or may not deserve it.

All the Tito nuthuggers are guilty of this, trying to create the assumption that Trinidad was a truly great fighter, regardless of competition or actual accomplishment.

In this regard, I am right, because this intentional playing up of Trinidad's accomplishments is a hoax of grand proportions.

And it wasn't a "little" luck he received. It was a large amount of luck. The three greatest fighters of merit on his record at welterweight were faded, fading or stupid.
