i say that the mexican legend will be out of his weight and will cause him to get KO against trinidad one of the best WW's punchers ever

I would take Trindad here, Chavez' chin is of the best ever, but this is at 147, while it may or may not get stopped, this is Tito's territory. He gets so underrated here at times. He was one of the most accurate and devastating punchers the division has seen. And while Chavez could box, he's not gunna employ the kind of movement that Oscar did in this one, he would maybe fancy his strength, as always, but would get hit with them brilliant hooks and rights. Titio imo

I always felt he was more complete at 140 than 130. But at 147, well, like you said, no such thing as a prime 147 Chavez. That's like saying prime 160 Trinidad.

You're right. I thought Chavez was not totally at his best at 140, though i rate him very high as an ATG there, more based on achievement than anything else. His absolute best performances, imo, were at 135, and he was just great at 130 also

Why, let's have a prime Hagler versus prime DLH at 160?

Or how about a prime Duran versus a prime Nelson at 135?

We can have it on the undercard of prime Spinks versus prime Ray Robinson at light heavyweight.

Like everyone else said, Chavez wasn't prime at 147. Trinidad by KO and brutally.

I'm taking the question in a pound for pound sense, if they COULD be in the same division, I pick Tito.

But I think in a pound for pound sense the Whitaker that fought Chavez beats Trinidad.

I think even straight up, Trinidad would have his hands full with a 1993-94 Whitaker @ 147.
