I hope Margarito breaks his jaw and leaves him out cold in a corner. BUT, I have a gut feeling that Shane will cheat his way through this one and win a close decision.:|
Hate to say it,but a lot of atg's were on the sauce. Roy and Toney tested positive for banned substances as well...Toney more than once.
Just for the record, I never meant to imply Shane would be "lured into a slug fest", if I thought that I would say Trinidad KO. I'm just saying Tito beats him. I actually kind of always wanted to see Shane at 140. I think Mosely could have really done a lot more for his legacy if he had made some different choices. But I guess $De LA Hoya$ was just too much of a lucrative fight for him to not jump at.
Tough fight to call, could go either way. I lean towards Mosely on points judging by both at their 147 prime vs DLH, SSM edged DLH & DLH edged (IMO) Trinidad..... even tho styles make fights I still go by this logic in this particular case as I cant separate them in any other way with any real certainty.
great thread man. obviously tito bigger puncher than forrest, but wouldn't have the speed to catch shane. in the exchanges, shane would land some crisp clean combos and land 4-5 to tito's 1-2. but, shane would slow down towards the end and be in serious, serious trouble clinging on to tito. i can see a desperate shane landing a left hook and dropping tito in 10th, while tito landing his own and dropping a more hurt shane in the 11th. tito would come to life in the last rounds chasing shane all over the ring. you would expect to get a draw, but shane would get a SD in a great fight that never happened. :-((
It would be a good fight but I think prime Tito was just too good at 147-154. Shane's speed would be his only advantage, which would give Tito some problems early on but then Tito could come back much stronger and win UD. Mosley may have been faster but Tito was much more accurate and did better work with the punches he chose. When Shane would be tempted to go toe to toe, Tito would get the better of those exchanges.
