Tommy Morrison was faster, stronger, had a better punch and better technique. Tommy Morrison fought in a much better era. Tommy Morrison lost to a prime Ray Mercer in a fight he was winning until he gassed out. Lennox Lewis who would beat the tar out of Povetkin and and Morrison lost to Michael Bentt. A shameful lost until you realize he was out partying the night before. Even Morrison's win over a older Foreman was better than anything Povetkin has accomplished. Morrison would of probably won 9 times out of 10 against Povetkin.
Right because you typed so right? Nicholai Firtha went 10 rounds with Alexander, Jason Estrada went 10, a washed up Larry Donald went 10, small Marco Huck went 10 and barely lost to Alexander. But yeah Povetkin would destroy Morrison a bigger, faster, harder puncher than himself because a guy online typed so.
I think Povetkin would win. He was more of a complete boxer than Tommy. Tommy has more power - that guy could really hit - but Povetkin has better punch variety, is faster, has better stamina, better defence and certainly a better chin. Tommy's left hook is legendary and I'll grant that with a flush shot he might dispose of Sasha: This content is protected But Povetkin has a similarly ferocious left hook: This content is protected
Povetkin has a very good resume, lots of name opponents and only lost to Wlad and Joshua. I think he's the current Jerry Quarry, a great fighter that never won a world title.
Take a hard look at the opposition of both on their way up. One guy is with Burial Bill. The other guy was fighting Larry Donald in like his 12th bout. Next fight, he follows it up against Chris Byrd and gets the stoppage. Laughable level of opposition the two had And what happened with other guys around at the time with Morrison---Tyson? Bowe? Holyfield? How about a Mercer rematch? Tua? Bruno? Golata even? The only guy he fought was Lewis and was not competitive. But there were tons of big matches for him out there and we got an old foreman and Lennox. Nobody else, except another guy doing the same thing, Ruddock.
