This could go either way. Both guys have terrific power, are fast starters, have shaky chins, not so great stamina. I think whoever fights a smarter fight in this one wins. Either one could take the other out. The guy who fights a disciplined fight will win this, not going for the KO punch unless an opening presents itself. Also Briggs may suffer an asthma attack like he did against Darryl Wilson, and may lose that way.
This fight falls into the "styles make fights" category. I believe Briggs' hand speed, combined with his punching power would would blitz Morrison. Briggs would land first and that would be it for this fight. Also Briggs takes a better punch than Morrison.
Agreed. Way too hard to make a solid prediction here. Both men could punch through a brick wall and both men could be knocked out by a journeyman on any given night. Wouldn't be surprised if these guys fought ten times and gave multiple differing results.
Briggs would destroy Morrison. You're talking about the guy who I think holds the record for first round knockouts against Tommy ****in Morrison. It would end in the first with Morrison on his back. Morrison's only hope would be to luck out with a Wilson moment, but the thread says "prime" not "asthmatic " Shannon Briggs so it would be the former.
Wouldn't go past 5 and would be wild while it last. Briggs would be tagged early and rocked all over the ring, with Morrison chasing him on the attack. He may even be dropped a few times. But Briggs somehow turns it around to pile drive Tommy in to the ground. Briggs ko 4.
That Briggs record you refer was reached KOing a lot of bums. Briggs was destroyed by Lewis and Vitaly and he would have been destroyed by Wlad too if they fought. He is strongly overrated. Prime Morrison would win for KO or decision.
If Tommy fights smart he stops Briggs who securely limited .. if he fights dump he can get clipped early.
