always an excuse for Toney not performing well is there .

Toney does not beat RJJ ever ''really prime'' ''not weight drained'' ect because Toney no matter what shape he is in cannot force a guy like RJJ to fight his fight if he does not want too.

Toney does well when guys come to him and fight his fight Toney does not do well when guys stay on the outside and make him come to them.

Everyone who has stayed on the outside against him has either had great succes or outright beaten him.

Even a crude fighter like Samuel Peter figured that out (and yes that was not a prime Toney ).

Toney is great in his one dimension Hopkins has another dimension an outside game when he chooses to use it.

I like Toney but certain styles will always be very difficult for him.

    Draw the first bout.
    Hopkins wins the rematch.

Hopkins by a majority verdict in a fairly close but uncontraversial points win.

Toney's prime weight was probably at 175 lbs, but the 160 lb version that was young enough to not totally drain himself (ie right after the Nunn fight) would probably beat Hopkins.
