I prefer the Hopkins of the Johnson fight all around, but I'd think the one from the Tito fight may actually be a tougher matchup for Toney. Either way I favor Hop.

This is a close fight but B-Hop looks great now, I would like to see him fight Toney now at 200LB limit....Bhop can put on 10=20LBS and James can lose 30....This would be a Chess match...NOW @190-200

hopkins from the johnson fight, when he was in his physical peak, would be a better choice imo.

So who do you give the edge in skill?Toney had the faster hands in my opinion and carried more pop in his punch then Hopkins.

On the inside, it's relatively even, on the outside and in terms of movement B-Hop has the clear advantage.

Toney would have beaten hopkins but it would of been a great fight similar to the toney/mccallum fights i'd say. Not much in it but I think toney just had an edge in all departments over bhop. Bhop V Mccallum would of been another great fight, a real pick em in my books.

    Hopkins UD

Both are similar fighters in terms of skill, defense, and counter punching, but I give Hopkins the edge in versatility because of his superior movement. He could beat guys in a wider variety of ways and was less susceptible to as many styles as Toney was.
