Giardello would have befuddled him, Tiger would have ground him down to a nub and Fernandez or Lausse would have flat out ko'ed him. You don't have to imagine how Robinson would have against Ayala.

Dwight Davidson also would've beaten Ayala, and it wouldn't surprise me if Kalue took him on and gave him a boxing lesson.

Not quite that easy. You got to have talent to match the desire

Tony would have beaten Kalule to smithereens. Kalule is helpless and has no speed and no punch. No mobility either. he's just a sitting duck. TA in 3 or 4

Imagine what a real iron man like Tiger would have done to a needle dicked creep like Ayala.

He'd have hammered Ayala so bad he'd be begging for mercy and promising to be Tigers *****.

Yet a past his peak Fullmer managed a draw with Tiger, not to mention fighting the last 4 rounds against Florentino Fernandez with a broken arm.He was a warrior pure and simple.

The first time Ayala faced adversity he quit against Campas. It doesn't matter how far past his prime he was a fighting heart never fades, which makes me convinced Ayala never posessed much ticker at all, certainly not enough to even be competive with Fullmer imo.

I thought 15 year layoffs might have some effect on his performance. I guess ESBers know better

He was only 37 and had little to no ring wear and tear plus he looked fine beating up on hacks in his previous comeback fights.

The fight with Campas was close as well but once Yori Boy started coming on Ayala just quit proving he had no heart and 15 years in jail for aggravated **** (don't try to gloss over it by calling it a "layoff" either) isn't any excuse.

Ayala was a sadistic bully but would go to water against someone mentally stronger and pyhsically tougher than he was which Fullmer most assuredly was.

I try not to let my personal feelings for certain fighters interfere with my judgement on their prowess. At 20 years old Tony wouldnt be quite ready but give him a couple years and this is another case of young over old as in Rosario over Viruet and Camacho over Limon. It wouldnt be pretty

Lets see Florention Fernandez or anyone else come out after 15 years being locked up. james Scott was locked up but at least he was allowed to fight regularly

Fulmer too tough, too strong, I see a stoppage, a barbarian battering of caveman proportions
