    Thompson makes Wilder look foolish. A cagey southpaw who can match up well with Wilder's height, put it this way Wilder didn't fight him on the way up when a past prime Thompson was lingering around.

    This. I actually like Thompson and think he achieved a lot despite starting boxing at 27 and turning pro with a 13-3 record. He had a 31-1 record when he fought Wlad. But, like you said he doesn't have the power to get Wilder's respect and he would struggle with Wilder's speed and power.

    Thompson's timing, balance and boxing skills are better than Szpilka's and Duhaupas'. In fact, I believe TT had the firepower to get rid of Wilder before the judges could screw him on the cards.

    of course theres no doubt you'd pick thompson. I'd never doubt that you'd pick him here.
