TONY TUCKER WOULD OUTBOX HIM AND WIN.....PETER OVERRATED...PS TONY TUCKER WOULDNT HIT THE DECK LIKE WALD:smoke:smoke:smoke
prime Tony Tucker would beat 95% of the division today, and Peter is one of the best right now in the division...
prime Tucker would beat any of these sorry heavyweights of today, he would toy with Peters and possibly KO him if he connected on that big ol' egg chin of his.
Tucker by a landslide, and maybee a late TKO.. Tony was a very good solid powerful heavy who could box like a freaking grandmaster.. He was awesome . He made Buster Douglas fight to a standstill.. TNT Tucker is one of those fighters who was called ordinary because of the people who he was around, but if around today he would kill almost all of the late top tenners..
Tony Tucker in his prime would have destroyed Peter -- no contest. Tony had a great chin and would have made Peter looked like what he was -- an unskilled, over-rated chump.
Tony Tucker with a bit of dedication (or proper management/guidance?) would have been a very very hard fight for anyone. As it was, he put up pretty good showings against Tyson and Lewis, without being anywhere near his best. He outlcasses Peter IMO. Now, Tucker v Wlad would be interesting.......
Tony Tucker TKOed Buster Douglas and gambled high with Mike Tyson, didn't he. He was 6'5'' or something and had a powerpunch, coordination and legs so what can one say, that normally overweight, static, powerhouse Sam Peter would kayo him? No way, José!
If Mike Tyson didn't come along, a lot more people might know about Tony Tucker. He was tall, as Dorf said, had a great jab, a great chin and was fluid. He was one of the only guys who lasted a full fight with "Prime" Tyson. He was an excellent boxer and had was incredibly light on his feet for such a large man. Great co-ordination. Think a leaner, slightly broader Buster Douglas. Hell, Tucker even gave Lennox Lewis a good fight when he was past his prime. Tony "TNT" Tucker, in his prime, would have been a tough fight for anyone. I believe he had drug issues, but when he was on his game, he could have been competitive with anybody from any era. He was a pleasure to watch box.
